MavSocial vs. Loomly: Which is the better social scheduling tool for real estate?
So, you’re ready to pay for a social scheduling tool for your real estate marketing posts and you’re wondering which is the best one to go with? Luckily, we’ve already done our homework.
When we were trying to decide which scheduling tool to go for, we took a lot of things into consideration. We needed to be able to schedule across multiple accounts for many different clients in different time zones, run ads, and still stay up to date with engagement. Sounds easy, right? Unfortunately, our beloved social platforms aren’t ready to let us go yet (or, go to third-party apps yet), so sometimes it can be tricky to find an app that, say, allows you to schedule Instagram stories and post them automatically (we can dream, right?).
In this post, we’re going to have a look at Loomly vs. MavSocial, two scheduling platforms that we were interested in and why they may work for your real estate marketing.
Price and User Accounts:
Loomly and MavSocial have a similar price. If you pay per month, Loomly is $76, while MavSocial comes in at $78. They differ in the amount of social accounts you can add to the platform: Loomly allows 20 social profiles, and MavSocial 30. Loomly allows 6 individual user accounts with this membership, while MavSocial allows 3.
Before you let this influence your decision, let’s take a closer look at each scheduling platform more closely.
Loomly
Loomly offers unlimited calendars and files, and you can export both from the site. You can also schedule all types of instagram feed posts to post automatically at a chosen time. Loomly also allows you to add the first comment, which is great if you prefer to add your hashtags in a comment. Loomly allows you to schedule IG Story posts in advance, but you have to post them manually; they send a notification to the phone app. At the moment, Loomly does not offer product tagging on Instagram, but you can tag people.
Loomly has automatic posting for Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, and LinkedIn. You can create all the posts at once and personalize them for each social platform, and their website is so clean and easy to use. I especially like that Loomly has suggestions for each individual social network; for example, if you’re making a Facebook post, it will tell you the suggested amount of words/characters to use, hashtags you might like, and a time to post. You can also run ads via Loomly, including photos, videos, carousels, and stories with an ad budget of $1,000.
Loomly offers a really beautiful grid preview for IG, which is updated quickly when you make changes. My favorite part of using Loomly was the live changes it made to posts as I edited them; no more waiting around for the site to load like when you schedule on FB Business. You can also assign specific posts to other user profiles for people to manage, which is super helpful if you work on a team.
Loomly has analytics, smart scheduling, and hashtag suggestions, as well as offering some training within the platform on how to use it. You can also do engagement within the platform, including direct messaging. Loomly will provide you post ideas based on what is trending, RSS feeds, date-related events and advise you on the best social media practices. All in all, Loomly is a great choice if you’re managing a lot of different client accounts that involve personalization based on social network.
Now for the cons. Loomly doesn’t currently have social listening or comparative analysis. You also can’t schedule IG Story posts in advance to be auto-posted. When we tried out Loomly, our photos were posted at a slightly lower quality than those we uploaded.

MavSocial
MavSocial has slightly more features than Loomly right off the bat, including unlimited future planning within calendars, bulk planning, a great digital asset library, and an image editor within the site. On Instagram, you can schedule feed posts unless it’s a carousel, which has to be done manually. Same with IG Stories; you can schedule them, but you have to post them manually. MavSocial does offer first comment scheduling, which is a handy addition. Like Loomly, MavSocial does not currently have product or person tagging.
MavSocial allows you to schedule and auto-post on Facebook and Twitter, and on LinkedIn except for videos. MavSocial currently does not support Pinterest or Tiktok. MavSocial also does not allow you to create Facebook ads with this account level; with a higher level account, you can create ads, but at this price point it only allows you to monitor them. MavSocial allows you to change the time zone per account when posting, which saves a lot of stress when managing clients across time zones.
In terms of analytics, MavSocial has great tools including social listening and hashtag suggestions. Their analytics are more comprehensive than Loomly, but we found it to be less user-friendly. For example, their Inbox has everything in one place but doesn’t tell you whether it’s a comment or DM until you open the message. Scheduling and publishing posts also takes time, but the photos come out with a high-quality look. As for other cons, there are many disgruntled reports across the internet that says MavSocial can be buggy. Personally, we didn’t like that MavSocial changed our bitly links to a MavSocial link.

So, what’s our final choice?
While we preferred MavSocial for the great analytics tools, we liked the user-friendly and live changes that Loomly offers.
