Digital Byte 12: Awareness is Key

March 24th, 2022

I came across this quote the other day and it made me think about awareness in my life and in my business.

"Awareness is often enough to motivate change. Simply tracking your food intake will motivate you to alter it. Merely writing down your problems may spark ideas for possible solutions."

This is so true! As a business owner, if you aren't aware of what's going on in your company, you won't be able to make the necessary changes to improve things. And as an individual, if you're not aware of what's going on around you, how can you make changes in your life?

Before I started The Inspiration Agency, I was always hands-on with the work I was doing and it was easy for me pick up where changes were needed. However, as I started my business and began to hire people, it became essential for me to be aware of the systems that were in place (and what was and wasn't working).

The way I make sure I am aware of what’s going on is by incorporating feedback. I schedule dedicated time with my team to go over the bigger picture and sift through the details. Having this time gives me the chance to make improvements where necessary, and ensure that the systems in place are there to see my team succeed.

Awareness is key in both business and life. If something isn't working, the first step to fixing it is being aware.
